As snow and ski conditions are generally considered less than optimal in much of Europe, the skiing here in St. Anton is far better than expected. Earlier this week, guests from the Fahrner Hof were searching for off piste powder and were pleasantly surprised.
Not expecting such fantastic conditions or bluebird skies, we headed out into the mountains only armed with cell phone cameras. But the skiing and conditions far exceeded the expectations, so none the less, the action needed to be captured.
It is forecast to snow considerably from today through January 14th and this should truly provide epic conditions. If predictions are correct, St. Anton could experience up to 60″ or 150cm!
